Advocates (North Wales)
Salary:
£26,000-£29,000 pa dependent on qualifications and experience 2 senior advocates are required to maintain and further develop our Independent Advocacy services in North Wales, In addition to leading on the project; you will coordinate and supervise trained sessional workers as well as carrying a minimum caseload. You will possess an awareness of the local culture of the area and for the Gwynedd service you will be fully bilingual. It is essential that you possess a relevant professional qualification and have experience of direct work with Young People. You will have a sound knowledge of Children's Rights and share NYAS's commitment to the implementation of the U.N.Convention of the Rights of the Child. Black Country This project works in partnership with the local authorities of Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Telford & Wrekin and Sandwell. An Independent Visitor (IV) befriends a young person who is looked after by the local authority - either in a Residential unit or with foster carers - and who has little or no contact with their own parents. By becoming one of our volunteers you can offer friendship and support to a young person as someone who is outside of the care system.
