TRAINING

NYAS is a leading training provider in the field of advocacy and children's rights. We have delivered advocacy training for over 25 years, building an impressive portfolio of courses which are available to agencies. For more details on the current available courses click on the drop down box on the left hand side of this page.

NYAS trainers are highly experienced and have a range of backgrounds including social work, child protection, residential care, social care inspection, fostering and teaching. Young people are involved in the delivery and planning of training and receive training support. Our goal is for all training to be co-delivered with young trainers.

Alongside the delivery of training courses, NYAS is regularly invited to speak at national and local conferences. Recent topics have included; "Making advocacy accessible for children with disabilities" "Advocacy for young people with mental health problems" "Safeguarding Children and Young people through Advocacy" "The rights of looked after children"
