VOLUNTEERS

The National Youth Advocacy Service is an established national charity which ensures that children and young people are given a voice in any issue that affects them.

"Volunteering has always been the most rewarding of my activities and NYAS showed me a new way of exploring that world. The training was perfect to get started in the programme and get to know the area and your role better, and it was very nicely organised. The support given by the coordinators is fantastic giving a very warm approach to the programme. It is indeed a great experience for you as a person and for the young person, and I strongly recommend it to anyone. It develops your skills, broadens your mind and allows you to meet very interesting people. I'm sure you would not be let down."

"Being a volunteer with NYAS is by far the most rewarding thing I have ever done. The young person I visit is now a genuine friend and I believe I have had a really positive impact on his life and behaviour. The training day was good fun and covered all eventualities and I know that the coordinators will be there for me if ever I needed them. I would wholeheartedly recommend working as a volunteer independent visitor with NYAS to anyone with the time and commitment to do it"

If you're volunteering already please take a couple of minutes to leave your feedback

NYAS supports and empowers children & young people locally in their own communities.
