In our daily lives and work, we all use advocacy skills, often without realising it. Using peer advocacy skills in practice can help with meaningful engagement, enabling children and young people we are working alongside to find and amplify their voices.
This course is recommended for children and young people in school, care and youth work settings, who are often the best advocates for each other.
Applying peer advocacy engagement skills enables us to understand how to promote the views, wishes and feelings of our advocacy partners (and ourselves) more effectively, empowering our peers towards enhanced self-advocacy. This training explores how to develop improved peer advocacy engagement techniques, gain confidence navigating different systems and processes, and make more informed rights-based decisions.
