In our daily lives and work, we all use advocacy skills, often without realising it. Using mental health advocacy skills in practice can help with meaningful engagement, enabling advocacy partners we are working alongside to find and amplify their voices.
This course is recommended for staff and volunteers working alongside individuals living with mental health issues and conditions.
Applying mental health advocacy engagement skills enables us to understand how to promote the views, wishes and feelings of our advocacy partners more effectively, empowering them towards enhanced self-advocacy. This training explores how to develop improved mental health advocacy engagement techniques, gain confidence navigating complex health, education and care systems, and make more informed rights-based decisions.
