Supporting Children, Young People and Adults Across Wales
We work in partnership with many local authorities, private settings and third-sector organisations to make sure that our range of services extends beyond Advocacy and helps to improve outcomes for all those needing our support including children and young people subjected to child protection procedures, children with disabilities and those at risk of entering the care system.
Our Commitment to the Welsh Language Scheme
The Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011 ensures the rights of Welsh speaking people are protected. NYAS Cymru is committed to developing and implementing our Welsh Language Scheme to ensure the Welsh language is:
- Not treated less favourably than the English language
- Enabling persons in Wales to be able to live their lives through the medium of the Welsh language if they chose to do so.
NYAS Cymru has adopted the principle that in carrying out its work in Wales, it will treat the Welsh and English language on the basis of equality.
Corporate Parent Pledge in Wales
NYAS Cymru have pledged and promised to become Corporate Parents for care experienced children and young people. Corporate parenting promotes the collective responsibility to safeguard and promote the rights and life chances of care-experienced children and young people.
We join other public sector bodies to support those in care through their childhoods and as they become care leavers.
Read our Corporate Parent Pledge to find out what this means.
