Child and Family Support Services
NYAS offer a range of family support services across England and Wales. Whether the child or young person you care for is living in care, or being supported by the local authority whilst living at home, our services may be able to help you strengthen your family bond. You can explore our range of family support services below, which are designed to help both you and young child.
Our Family Support Services
Our parent advocacy service aims to keep families together and reduce the number of children entering the care system. This advocacy focuses on relationship building, improved decision making and positive engagement with relevant services.
Understanding the Benefits of Advocacy
Everyone deserves to be listened to. Young people have the right to have their feelings taken seriously, but sometimes they may feel like their voice isn’t being heard. An advocate can help them to be involved in decisions that matter to them.
Understanding the Benefits of Independent Visitors
An Independent Visitor volunteer can be life changing for a child or young person in care. They offer long lasting friendship and support to a child or young person they have been specifically matched with.
