NYAS is greatly saddened to hear of the death of Judge Nicholas Crichton CBE. Nick was a committed supporter of NYAS, becoming a valued member of our Professional Advisory Group in 2005 until the end of 2016.
Nick was committed to the representation of children and young people and supported NYAS throughout his time on the bench and in his own time he was always a wise and witty contributor to our PAG offering advice at times of challenge to funding and always encouraging us in many areas of our work.
Nick helped us in numerous ways – not least by arranging a room in the Inner London Family Proceedings Court for many years for our meetings! We are delighted that our work continues as he had encouraged and join the family law world in expressing our sincerest sympathies to his family and friends.
Nick will always have a special place in NYAS history.
