Your Support Means the World!
Grants from Trusts & Foundations have a huge impact on our work and provide additional support for care experienced children, young people and vulnerable adults. Grants enable our teams to:
- Continue to deliver support throughout England and Wales.
- Develop new and innovative projects that meet identified needs.
- Allow us to reach more care experienced young people.
How You Can Help
Your support will help us to deliver our vital services and programming into the future, safeguarding the critical work that we do.
Funding from Trusts & Foundations enables us to support care experience children and young people by funding:
- Side by Side programme - helping young care leavers to navigate the challenging journey into adulthood;
- Helpline - a nationally available signposting and advice service which has been instrumental in supporting so many children and young people who have accessed it
- Knapman Fund - a dedicated fund to support Young Care leavers aged 16-25 years. Young people can apply for a grant of up to £500 which enables them to access education or to find employment – all helping to increase their independence
- Participation and Campaigning work - ensuring our messaging is spread far and wide and trying to influence policy in favour of the children and young people who so urgently need it.
- Additional positive activities - for care experience children and young people through our Independent Visitors service. Grants enable us to provide exciting trips and experiences that children in care would otherwise not experience. These magical memory-making experiences can be life-changing for young people, creating lasting positive memories that they cherish.
- Project Unity - our flagship programme in Wales which is helping to offer intensive support, opportunities, education, and training to care experienced pregnant women and young mums up to the age of 25 across Wales. This is such a vital programme and we hope that it can be supported by Trusts & Foundations for many years to come.
